About Us

It all began when several men, each with their own powerful story of surviving domestic violence, independently wrote books about their experiences. Their publisher, recognizing the importance of these voices, brought them together to connect and share their journeys.

What started as a conversation about personal experiences quickly grew into a collective mission: to create a space where men could find their voices and be heard in the growing climate of domestic violence and lawfare disproportionately affecting men. These shared stories became the foundation of The Doubtfire Project, a forum dedicated to empowering men to reclaim their rights, rebuild their lives, and support one another along the way.

Today, The Doubtfire Project is more than just a community—it’s a movement. We stand as a resource and a voice for men navigating the challenges of domestic violence, offering practical tools, meaningful connections, and unwavering support. Together, we’re working to break the silence, foster healing, and create a future where every man feels seen, heard, and valued.

Your story matters. And with The Doubtfire Project, you’re not alone.

Christopher J. Coley

Chairman

For over 25 years, Chris has been a driving force in the real estate industry. With a broker’s license in seven US states and a track record of facilitating numerous successful transactions in Europe and the Cayman Islands, Chris has provided many clients with access to a world of opportunities. He first confronted the reality of men as domestic abuse victims when his then wife threw a knife at his head. His experience led him to write Behind Closed Doors: The Untold Truth of An Abused Husband, a powerful account of his marriage to someone with narcissistic personality disorder. Woven throughout his story is a practical guide to help men recognize and escape similar situations. Committed to extending this mission beyond his book, Chris now dedicates his efforts to The Doubtfire Project, providing support and advocacy for male survivors of domestic abuse.

Board Member

Joshua Terry is the CEO of Global Legacy Capital and founder of Invisible No More, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching financial and business principles to urban youth. Above all, he is a man of God and a proud father to his beautiful daughter, Honour. As the author of A Father’s Honour, he passionately advocates for fathers’ rights.
He understands firsthand the struggles fathers face; He endured a grueling year-long court battle to secure his place in his daughter’s life. Fathers are as essential to their children as mothers, yet too often they are overlooked or undervalued by society.
Through the Doubtfire Foundation, we are working to change that narrative. Joshua serves on this board not only for his daughter, Honour, but for every child who needs their father’s presence.
